+ Is the konmari method™ right for me?
If you're only looking for organizing solutions, this is probably not the right service for you. My KonMari Home Transformation program will be a good fit for you if:

+ What can i expect at a tidying lesson?
Each KonMari Tidying Lesson is typically between 3 and 5 hours (based on what works best for your schedule and your organizing goals) as this amount of time will ensure we're able to achieve impactful results. We will work together closely and collaboratively throughout the process using the principles of the KonMari Method™ and applying it to your space.
+ Can you organize my space without me?
No. The KonMari Method™ is a deeply personal process based on what brings you joy and your ideal lifestyle. This is why we will need to work closely and collaboratively throughout the process. If I organize your space without your participation, it will be another bandage solution that won't stick in the long run.
+ How much does it cost?
The cost depends on the level of support you need to complete your home transformation and the number of lessons/frequency based on your own preferences, budget and organizing goals. Other factors include: size of your home, how much you have, if there are additional items in storage, how fast we work and whether you continue on your own or complete the assigned homework in between lessons. During our initial consultation, we can discuss some options based on your organizing goals and budget. You can see a list of my packages here.
+ What type of payment do you accept?
I can accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and JCB) or EMT (Email Money Transfer). Please note full payment for your Tidying Lesson or Home Transformation package is required at time of booking to secure your date.
+ How do i book an appointment?
Please start by sending in a contact request and book a consultation call to discuss any questions you may have and ensure my services are aligned with your needs. Based on your organizing goals and budget, I can give you my recommendations to see which option and package is best suited for you. Once you're ready, we can proceed to book your first tidying lesson.
+ What are your hours?
My hours are by appointments only on weekdays with select weeknights available. Appointments are typically booked 1 to 2 months in advance.
+ what is your cancellation policy?
For a full refund, please cancel with more than 7 days notice from your scheduled lesson time. Cancellation with less than 7 days but more than 48 hours will not incur a cancellation fee but is not refundable. Cancellations under 48 hours will incur a cancellation fee equivalent of 1 hour lesson fee. The remaining balance will not be refundable but can be applied towards your next lesson.
+ What areas do you service?
Anywhere! For in-person lessons within the city of Calgary and surrounding areas (up to 35km from downtown Calgary) travel fee is included. For distances above 35km, travel fee is $0.55/km each way. Long distances over 300km will require overnight accommodation and/or airfare or other travel costs. A quote will always be provided in advance when travel fee is applicable so there aren't any surprises.
+ Should i read marie kondo's books?
It's not a requirement for you to read Marie Kondo's books as I will walk you through the steps of KonMari Method™ tidying but it would be beneficial for you to read the section on the category we'll be working on prior to the lesson. I would also recommend reading the books especially if you would like to do some tidying on your own. I recommend reading "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" before reading "Spark Joy." You can also watch some episodes of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo on Netflix to get a better understand of the process.
+ Do I need to tidy up before our lesson?
Please resist the urge to tidy up. If I can see your home in its natural state, it will give me greater insight into your habits for me to give you suggestions on future maintenance. However, if we're going to be working on your clothing category, please ensure you do laundry before the lesson but folding of your clean laundry is not necessary.
+ Do I need to buy any additional storage or organizational items?
I recommend holding off on purchasing any new storage or organizational items until the end. During the joy check (decluttering) process, all storage is considered temporary until we finish all categories. Quite often, we're able to use what you already have for storage. When additional items are needed, I can provide suggestions or source the items for you.
+ What happens to my discarded items?
Proper disposal of your discarded items are up to your own preferences. At the end of the lesson, I can help you load the discarded items into your car. Some charities will provide pickup services. For more info, please see my donation and recycling guide.
+ Can I buy a gift certificate or set up a gift registry?
Yes, I offer gift certificates in any amount and can set up your KonMari Home Transformation as a gift registry for weddings, birthdays and special occasions. Tidying is a personal journey so please make sure the recipient welcomes this gift.
+ Are you a member of any professional associations?
+ Are you covered by insurance?
Yes, I have a commercial general liability and professional liability insurance policy.
+ Will my information remain confidential?
Absolutely! I will not disclose any information about you or identify you as a client. If photos are taken to document your progress, it will only be shared if you have given me permission to do so on your client agreemnt but I will always keep your location, name and personal info confidential. + Why did you become a konmari consultant?
I was an overwhelmed mom looking for a change and got life-changing results after I was able to successfully get my home in order using the KonMari Method™.
