How long are each Konmari tidying Lesson?

Each KonMari Tidying Lession is between 3 and 5 hours. I recommend 5 hours for the first lesson and other larger categories whenever possible as this amount of time will ensure we're able to achieve impactful results.

How many Lessons will I need?

The number of lessons you need or frequency depends on your preferences, budget and organizing goals. Some people want me to help them get started and others appreciate assistance every step of the way. Other factors include: size of your home, how much you have, if there are additional items in storage, how fast we work, and whether you continue on your own in between lessons.

How much does it cost?

You can see my pricing for single lessons, packages and virtual coaching in my online shop

how do i book an appointment?

We start with a free phone consultation to discuss questions you may have and your organizing goals. When you're ready to proceed, we can proceed to book your lessons.

What method of payments do you accept?

I accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, EMT (Email Money Transfer) and cash. Please note full payment is required to book your lesson.

what is the cancellation policy?

For a full refund, please cancel with more than 48 hours notice from your scheduled lesson time. Cancellations under 48 hours will receive a partial 50% refund. If cancellation is less than 24 hours from your scheduled lesson time, your payment will not be refundable but can be rescheduled one time without penalty to accommodate unexpected emergencies.

What areas do you service?

Anywhere! For in-person lessons within the city of Calgary, travel fee is included. Within driving distances (less than 200km) outside of Calgary, travel fee is $0.54/km. Longer distances may require overnight accommodation and/or airfare so please inquire with details of your location. When travel is required, a longer lesson is recommended and a day rate can be provided. A quote will always be provided in advance when travel fee applies.

Are you a member of any professional associations?

Yes, I am a bronze level Certified KonMari Consultant and a member of POC (Professional Organizers in Canada).

are you covered by insurance?

Yes, I have a commercial general liability and professional liability insurance policy.

Do I need to tidy up before our lesson?

Please resist the urge to tidy up. If I can see your home in its natural state, it will give me greater insight into your habits for me to give you suggestions on future maintenance. However, if we're going to be working on your clothing category, please ensure you do laundry before the lesson but folding of your clean laundry is not necessary.

should i read marie kondo's books?

It's not a requirement for you to read Marie Kondo's books as I will walk you through the steps of KonMari Method™ tidying but it would be beneficial for you to read the books especially if you would like to do some tidying on your own. I recommend reading "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up" before reading "Spark Joy." See the list of books available in your country here.

Do I need to buy any additional storage or organizational items?

During the joy check (decluttering) process, all storage is considered temporary until we finish all categories. Quite often, we're able to use what you already have for storage. If additional items are needed, I can make suggestions based on your space and budget. I can also assist with shopping when requested.

What happens to my discarded items?

Proper disposal of your discarded items are up to your own preferences. I recommend donating any usable items to local charities and recycling unusable items. Some clients choose to sell certain items. At the end of each lesson, I'd be happy to help you load your car with your discarded items. If you're not sure where to take them, see my donation and recycling guide and I'm also happy to give additional suggestions.

Can you work with my children or other members of my family?

Yes, absolutely. However, I recommend booking a separate lesson or block off a section of the lesson time for each person to ensure the best result.
