What's in My Workbag + OLEADA Wavia Plus Bag Review

When it comes to choosing the right workbag, I’m all about functionality, quality, and thoughtful design. I’m excited to share a review of my newest addition: the Wavia Plus Bag in Ash by OLEADA — a brand that has quickly won me over with their commitment to sustainability and quiet luxury.

A New Favorite for Work & Life on the Go

Whether I’m heading to a client’s Tidying Session or setting up shop at a local coffee shop, this bag has truly become a favourite. It’s stylish, practical, and offers the versatility I need to carry everything in one place — without sacrificing elegance.

First Impressions: Why I Chose the Wavia Plus in Ash

When OLEADA reached out to see if I’d like to review one of their bags, I was immediately intrigued. Their ethos — handbags designed by women, for women, with sustainability at the core — really resonated with me.

I chose the Wavia Plus in the shade Ash, a soft brownish-grey taupe that pairs beautifully with almost everything. It reminds me of the famous “Étaupe” color from Hermès, and I love that it’s a neutral that isn’t black (which I already have plenty of).

What Makes the Wavia Plus Special

  • Material: Made from Italian top-grain leather (a byproduct of the food industry), the leather in the Ash color has a matte finish. It's also water, stain, and scratch resistant, which makes it perfect for daily use — no babying required.

  • Hardware: The subtle gold hardware gives it that quiet luxury look. Their logo is discreetly engraved, offering a polished yet understated vibe.

  • Protective Details: It features protective strips at the bottom — ideal for durability.

Size & Fit

The Wavia bag comes in three sizes: Mini, Original, and Plus. At 5'1", I was initially unsure if the Plus would feel too big. Thankfully, it’s a perfect fit. It holds everything I need for work and travel, which is key when I don’t want to juggle multiple bags.

What’s In My Bag: Work Edition

Here’s what I typically carry in my Wavia Plus when I’m working:

  • Laptop (13” MacBook Air) – the laptop compartment fits up to 14", and the main space can fit up to a 15" laptop.

  • Orbitkey Nest – a compact organizer for all my tech accessories (dongle, charging cable, AirPods, remote, stamps, and business cards).

  • iPad – essential for client sessions and planning.

  • Phone & Car Keys – kept in the front pocket for quick access.

  • Tissues, Pen, Sharpie, Lipstick – stored in the three internal pockets.

  • Wallet – tucked away in the zippered front pocket.

  • Emergency Pouch – I transfer this between bags. It’s my mini “drugstore” of essentials: allergy meds, hair tie, band-aids, cough drops, and more.

For Tidying Sessions, I’ll often swap out the laptop and tech gear for garbage bags, a label maker, a water bottle, and snacks.

Versatility: 4 Ways to Wear

What sets the Wavia Plus apart is how versatile it is. You can wear it 4 ways: Shoulder Bag, Top Handle, Crossbody and Backpack

The convertible backpack design is one of the best I’ve tried. Unlike others I’ve used (and donated), the strap doesn’t shift awkwardly thanks to a padded shoulder piece that anchors it in place. It transitions seamlessly between modes — perfect when you’re on the move and need quick access.

Travelers, take note: there’s a pass-through sleeve on the back, which lets you secure the bag on top of your rolling luggage. No more awkward juggling at the airport!

Final Thoughts

I’ve been using the Wavia Plus non-stop — and for good reason. It’s a beautifully designed bag that holds everything I need for work, travel, and everyday errands. And knowing that OLEADA stands behind ethical, sustainable practices makes me feel even better about using it.

If you’re looking for a functional, elegant, and versatile work bag, this one is absolutely worth considering.
